DCapGeo is a professional forensic evidence capture application. This policy explains exactly what data the app collects, why it is collected, how it is stored, and your rights over that data.
DCapGeo ("the App", "we", "us") is developed and published by LaunchGrid (dkapps brand), based in Tamil Nadu, India. DCapGeo is a high-precision forensic imaging tool that captures photos embedded with verified GPS coordinates, timestamps, altitude, bearing, and AI-classified scene labels — for use in field surveys, legal documentation, construction records, and similar professional applications.
We are committed to handling your personal data responsibly and transparently, in accordance with applicable data protection principles. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of DCapGeo on Android devices.

DCapGeo requests the following Android permissions. Each is required for specific features:
Pictures/DCapGeo folder and register them with the Android Media Scanner.DCapGeo uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy which governs how they handle data.
Local storage: All captured forensic images are saved locally on your device to a dedicated Pictures/DCapGeo directory. These files remain on your device and are under your control.
Cloud storage: Only your Google account profile (used for authentication) and your device installation record are stored remotely — in Firebase Firestore on Google Cloud infrastructure, with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Security: Access to your account data is protected by Google Sign-In authentication. We apply industry-standard security practices and rely on Google Cloud's security infrastructure for all remotely stored data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or your forensic images to any third party. Data is shared only in the following limited circumstances:
Forensic images: Stored locally on your device indefinitely until you delete them manually within the app or via your device's gallery.
Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleting your account removes your authentication record from Firebase.
Device installation record: The Firestore installation log entry is retained for as long as the app is installed. You may request its deletion at any time by contacting us.

DCapGeo is a professional forensic tool intended for adult field professionals, surveyors, legal professionals, and construction teams. It is not directed at or designed for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app and provided personal data, please contact us immediately so we can remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app's features, legal requirements, or data practices. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users via an in-app notice.
Continued use of DCapGeo after an updated policy is posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
